A 6 cylinder in-line engine of only 1271cc, with a non-crossflow head and an overhead
camshaft driven by bevel gears via a vertical shaft. Although based on the Wolseley
'Hornet' design it was equipped with twin SU carburettors, a large finned sump and a
camshaft cover of alloy. The basis for later 6-cylinder engines such as that of the 'K3'.
